Pakistan beaten by Germany in warm-up match

NEW DELHI: Germany defeated Pakistan 2-1 in a warm-up match prior to the Hockey World Cup here on Friday.Pakistan team manager Asif Bajwa expressed satisfaction on his team’s performance despite its defeat.
Mohammad Irfan got Pakistan a lead in the beginning of the match against the defending champions but Mathias equaled the score before the half-time.
The match went on 1-1 till the last moments of the match when Germany made the decisive goal tow in the match.
Pakistan will play their first match in the World Cup against their rivals, India, on Sunday.
