US tops medals count; Canada wins record gold
It was Team USA that topped the list, with a total of 37 medals in all.
The United States are now heading home with 9 gold medals, 15 silver and 13 bronze. Following behind the United States in second place, is Germany with an overall total of 30 medals. They won 10 gold medals, 13 silver and 7 bronze medals.
And even though Canada came third in the overall medal count, they still have a huge reason to celebrate. Not only did Team Canada win the men’s gold medal ice hockey game yesterday, but they have also achieved the most gold medals overall.
Team Canada received an overall medal count of 26, with 14 of them being gold medals, 7 being silver and 5 being bronze. Norway came in at number 4 on the list, with a total of 23 medals – 9 gold medals, 8 silver medals and 6 bronze.
