PCB decides to appoint Waqar as national team coach
The 40-year-old Waqar was the bowling and fielding coach of the Pakistan team on the tour of Australia whom now the PCB has formally offered to be a new coach in place of Intikhab Alam.
Waqar Younis, who took 373 wickets in Test cricket and 416 in One-day Internationals, has confirmed the news of contacting and offering him the coach assignment from the board.
However, Waqar said that he would soon make a decision in this regard.
Waqar has been offered to be the coach till December 2011.
If Waqar Younis agrees, then he will be the coach of the Pakistan team in the third Twenty20 World Cup to be held in the West Indies this year.
