Asian Badminton C’ship: Sara beaten in qualifying round

NEW DELHI: Sara Khan of Pakistan could not make place in main round of the Asian Badminton Championship after being defeated in the qualifying round here on Tuesday.Qualifying rounds were held on the first day of the event in the Indian capital in which host players displayed brilliant performance.
Sara Khan, one of the six players in Pakistan team, was defeated by Indian player Thalasi by 21-9, 21-16.
Sara said that lack of academies was the cause of her defeat.
The remaining five players of Pakistan team will take part in the main round of the tournament.
